Re-coat of the Norfolk Scope Arena in progress
RPC Industries, Inc. is an industry-leading expert on ensuring the sustained performance of sprayed polyurethane foam roofs. Although many contractors claim to be experts, we helped write the book on it... RPC's Bryan Heldreth contributed extensively to the chapter on Repairs and Re-coating for the SPFA-PCP Master Installer professional certification program.
Once a foam roof is deemed to be a good candidate for a re-coating procedure and the work is complete, our re-coat projects are quality control verified by 3rd party inspectors. Often, our re-coat warranties offer more protection for the owner than the original roof warranty and can be furnished by one of our fortune 500 partners.
Polyurethane Foam is a great roof system but must be coated to protect it from the sun’s harmful UV rays. On average most aged SPF roofs have 1 to 2 inches of foam sprayed onto an existing roof substrate such as a Built Up, Modified Bitumen, or Metal roof. They are then coated with an acrylic, silicone or a polyurethane coating or ballasted with gravel.
